Masidlaleni Youth Development is an NGO operating in Lawley, South of Johannesburg and was founded in 2018. The Youth Development is designed to provide children and adolescents, ages 9-19, with sport and education in a safe and nurturing environment.
We offer different sporting codes which we aim in assisting children and adolescent’s athletes, with keeping them active and healthy through regular participation in physical activities. Sporting codes which we offer are Athletics, Soccer, Netball, Indigenous games, Cycling and Volleyball
Our athletics program is all about building strength, speed, and endurance. We offer a range of track and field events, helping participants stay active while setting personal goals and achieving their best.
Soccer teaches more than just footwork—it’s about teamwork, communication, and perseverance. Our program brings young players together to develop their skills, compete, and build lasting friendships.
Through netball, we focus on developing coordination, strategy, and cooperation. Players learn to think on their feet while working closely with their teammates to reach new heights on and off the court.
Connecting the past to the present, our indigenous games celebrate local heritage and culture. These traditional games foster unity and teach valuable lessons of agility, respect, and teamwork.
Cycling is more than just a sport—it’s an adventure. Our program encourages exploration and physical fitness while teaching the importance of perseverance and resilience through regular cycling challenges.
Volleyball is a sport of precision, communication, and teamwork. Our program helps young athletes sharpen their skills, build confidence, and form strong bonds within a supportive team environment.
